Job Description:

Area Manager (FT-Exempt)

We are looking for one incredibly detail-oriented Field Operations Manager who can show us they are serious about their profession, can lead a team collaboratively, and are responsible enough to ensure their team meets all company goals for client satisfaction! We’re a local company that believes in taking care of our team, our clients, and our community.

Why would you want to work with us?

From the benefits that we try to provide, to the positive and inclusive culture that we have built, we are trying to build a company that is able to provide good jobs to great people and be one of the best companies to work for in the area.

  • Starting pay DOE with guaranteed annual raises and opportunity for bonuses
  • Time off for weekends and holidays – More time with friends and family without losing out on pay!
  • Opportunity for growth – You will be on track for promotions and increased responsibilities within the company.
  • Internal Hiring – We are happy to invest in your growth and we will always offer opportunities for advancement internally first before looking outside the company.
  • Friendly Team – We like to have a good time together and we are looking for someone who takes their job seriously, but not themselves.
  • Impact – In a small company, everything you do will matter to our success.
  • Premium Music Subscriptions – We’ll pay for your Spotify, Audible, or Apple Music subscription so you can jam out while working.
  • 15 days of PTO annually after 90 days
  • Criminal background expungement if able (we’ll help you get back on your feet!)
  • Educational reimbursement through Ohio TechCred program.
  • Stipend for buying PPE if required

We want to build a long-term relationship with you and provide you every opportunity to grow with the company. I believe in treating my team with respect and kindness and that you should have a life outside of work.

What kind of work will you be doing?

You’ll be working to ensure that all our commercial cleaning clients are happy and you are completing every item on your checklist each shift – and meeting our client requirements for levels of cleanliness.

While many commercial cleaning companies lock their clients into long term contracts, we do not. Our goal is to prove our worth to our clients each and every month – month after month. This means that you will be one of the most important team members in the company as it will be your work that the clients see day in and day out.

We’re here to try and help give our clients peace of mind knowing that their workplace is being taken care of.

This position will be a mix of cleaning your own accounts, supporting your team members, and auditing your team’s work to ensure that they are complying with client requirements.

We foresee your time breaking down as approximately:

  • 50% Cleaning your own accounts
  • 25% Auditing your team’s accounts
  • 25% Running supplies to client facilities, filling in for callouts on your team, training new team members, and setting up new accounts

On a regular basis, you will be doing things like:

  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager to ensure all shifts are covered
  • Fill in on job sites when team members call out or when new accounts are being started
  • Doing site visits to ensure quality service is being performed
  • Scoring and grading cleaners weekly and preparing QC reports for both clients and the management team
  • Working with the Sales Manager on account management & ensuring a smooth flow of communication between cleaning teams and clients
  • Doing field walkthroughs of job sites for potential new clients and working with the Sales Manager to prepare proposals
  • Working with the Operations team to plan for adverse weather conditions
  • Driving from job site to job site for spot checks during shifts
  • Advising management team on staffing needs and training new team members on policies and procedures
  • Monitoring supply levels at client locations and working with the Operations Manager to place restocking orders as needed
  • Other duties as required or assigned

Is there another skill you have that you want to show us? Let us know. We’re open to tailoring your responsibilities to help show off your skills and do the work that you enjoy.

Requirements:

  • A friendly attitude and excellent people skills
  • Fluent English
  • Reliable vehicle and driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Experience in the cleaning industry, no less than 2 years
  • Flexibility to work as and when needed to fulfill job requirements
  • Able to lead a team effectively (or able to learn how to)
  • Comfortable talking on the phone
  • Quick responsiveness
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Self-starter and ambitious
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal oversight
  • Good at logical thinking and organization
  • Cool under pressure
  • High degree of empathy and deep understanding of customer service
