Respect the way the office works
Law offices combine public reception, confidential work areas and meeting rooms that may stay occupied beyond normal hours. We discuss which rooms can be entered, how late meetings affect service and what to do when a space is unavailable.
Desk and document boundaries need to be explicit. The cleaning plan should identify surfaces that may be cleaned without moving files and areas that must be left alone. Staff should not have to wonder whether papers will be rearranged overnight.
Keep client-facing rooms ready
Reception, conference rooms and visible glass are often the most noticeable areas to visitors. Their cleaning needs depend on meeting frequency and how the space is used. We include the agreed tasks and frequency in the facility checklist.
A room used for all-day meetings may need more attention than a private office occupied twice a week. Restrooms and refreshment areas also deserve their own schedule. The walkthrough is the place to make those differences clear.
Document entry and closing instructions
After-hours access should cover keys or cards, alarms, approved doors and the final closing check. Restricted records rooms, storage areas and other sensitive spaces need clear access rules. We track access items and prepare site-specific instructions during onboarding.
If a partner or staff member remains late, the team needs a way to confirm what can be cleaned. An agreed procedure prevents a cleaner from making an access decision that belongs to the office.
Make feedback easy to resolve
Your area manager handles account concerns and recurring changes. Identify the room and task when something needs attention so the manager can follow up against the agreed scope.
Periodic carpet cleaning and floor care can be planned around the calendar. These projects need a defined access window and preparation instructions, particularly where furniture or files must remain undisturbed.
Build the task list by area
These are planning examples. The agreed scope identifies the tasks assigned to our team and the tasks retained by your staff.
| Area or service window | Cleaning scope | Key handover detail |
|---|---|---|
| Private offices | Clear desks and agreed surfaces | Leave case papers in place |
| Meeting rooms | Prepare client-facing spaces | Respect room bookings |
| Closing | Waste, access and alarm instructions | Use the approved handover procedure |
Your questions,
answered.
Will cleaners move documents?
We agree on desk and document boundaries before service. Personal items and files should be handled only as permitted by your office instructions.
Can you work after late meetings?
We discuss service windows and how occupied rooms will be handled. The cleaning schedule must reflect the office’s actual use.
Can records rooms be excluded?
Yes. Restricted or excluded rooms should be identified in the scope and access instructions.
